The female athlete working with the rhythm of your body

Hormones – believe it or not, they can make or break a performance and yet so few female athletes take them into consideration or discuss them openly.

I’ll be hosting an event specifically for women, discussing how our hormones impact our training, nutritional intake and adaptation.

I will talk you through how to fuel your training optimally in order to sustain hormonal regulation and achieve your performance goals.

Host: Renee McGregor

The purpose of the workshop is to provide you with information on the key areas and issues around the Female athlete body and will cover many important areas including:

  • The role of nutrition in performance
  • Role of hormones
  • Threats to regular menstruation
  • The role of social media
  • Dysfunctional eating behaviour
  • REDS- Relative Energy Deficiency Disorder
  • The Athlete Mindset

And I’ll highlight those warning signs to look out for which may have longer term health consequences if left undiscussed.
